Evga GeForce GT 430 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1430-LR
I bought this card for use in my new budget gaming rig (less than 400) and this card has no problem with games like Sins of a Solar Empire, Neverwinter Nights, and even Ghostbusters. For a HTPC (Home Theatre PC) this card would be perfect. It has HDMI out, as well as VGA and DVI for PC connections. It has a built in fan, that doesn't require power connection from the case power supply. It just runs on the power from the PCI-e slot. All in all this is a good card for 70 bucks and would make a budget gamer happy. Another deciding factor was Linux support. NVIDIA, though they don't open source their drivers, do provide a better Linux driver than ATi does. Fedora 13 ran beautifully with all 3D effects and eye candy at max.

I bought this so that I could add a third monitor to my computer. My initial thought was that I could use all 3 inputs. After installing, I found out that it would only let you use 2 of the three at any given time. But that was OK, but it did work in conjunction with the on board video card and gave me my third monitor capability. The HDMI output seems to have a distorted picture when using as a monitor so I don't use that, but the DVI and VGA work perfectly fine. I don't do any serious gaming so I can't tell you how that is, but I can watch a movie on my bigscreen while multi tasking on my smaller screens without any loss of video or computing speed.
